A long waiting

Hello,
I don't usually talk about my personal stuff on the Internet, but right now I really need to know something. Today, not long time ago my boyfriend broke up with me. We had 2 year anniversary on 8th of September. Now, he said that he found that hes feeling changed half a year ago, but he right now decided to tell it (Something happened, it doesn't matter what). In the summer we were like in love, chatting, hanging out, etc.. Now, here is my question: If you find your feelings gone, how the hell can you keep torturing yourself and your bf/gf? And has anybody had any experiance like that..?

This is common, the fact is, however unfortunate it sounds, is that people change, and grow, and sometimes it leads to wanting something different.
It's not that he doesn't care about you, thats why he stayed with you this long, he didn't want to hurt you. It sounds like one of two things, he may have met someone that sparked his interest, or he just generally is trying to go out into the world and become a better person.
I don't know him, so I can't say anything for sure, It's just part of growing up. You're young, I'm not saying I'm old, although some people here would have you believe that, it just the older you get, the better things you want out of life, and you can't find yourself, if you're busy making someone else happy. You've got to focus on yourself in order to fully grow up, and thats probably what he needs.

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you.

I have had that happen to me, its called life and it sucks.

"Tell me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know how best to undermine you; tell me of your greatest fear, so I will know which I must force you to face; tell me what you cherish most, so I will know what to take from you; and tell me what you crave, so that I might deny you..."
